Summer Courses


In response to SARS-COV-2 and COVID-19 there will be the following limits on group size:
– Families or members of the same household & immediate contacts up to 6 people.
– Limit 2:1 for Multi-pitch terrain
– Limit 3:1 for glaciated terrain.

1/2 Days Available

We believe that the outdoors and climbing should be welcoming and accessible to everyone.  Unfortunately there are many obstacles for many people in this country.  These obstacles are systemic, complex and deeply ingrained in our culture.  To accomplish meaningful change, it will take intentional, hard work and commitment from all of us in the outdoor industry. Because of this we are offering 1/2 days to make climbing with a guide more accessible to everyone.

From Belays to Anchors – Learn the basics of building top-rope climbing anchors and managing the risk of a single pitch climbing environment. Climbing is about having fun and with a few strategies to keep the risk low, confidence will increase  and so will the fun.

Advanced Anchor Construction

This one day course represents the next level in anchor construction and rope management. Topics include the use of traditional gear to construct anchors, rappels, top-managed anchors, basic rescue, and risk management for these tricky areas.  Combine with the “Learn to Climb Outside” course for a two day course that will increase your confidence and the fun factor of outdoor climbing.

Acadia National Park


Less than a day’s drive from the Boston area, Acadia National Park provides some of the most scenic rock climbing this side of the Mississippi River. Seaside venues like the famous Otter Cliffs, or the beautiful longer routes on the Precipice offer impeccable granite rock climbs with ocean views. Comfortable camping in the park, or lodging in Bar Harbor provide close access to the climbing. These elements pair with cool ocean breezes  and come together to create the idyllic summer rock climbing vacation. Open to all ability levels

Red Rock


COVID-19 update, Alex & Art of canceled their Spring 2020 Red Rock trips.

Spring and Fall MMG owner Alex Teixeira and MMG Founder Art Mooney head to Red Rock, NV to begin and end the rock climbing season. Passionate about the impeccable sandstone climbing, both Alex and Art have developed an intimate knowledge of the canyons and mountains that make up this expansive rock climbing venue. Easy flights, great food, and plenty of lodging options make this trip a no brainer.

North Cascades


Beginning in Mid June, MMG begins its Pacific Northwest climbing season. Early season is particularly attractive to climbers from the northeast due to a wide variety of climbing styles available during this time of year. Climbing on the Glaciated peaks of the North West is a breathtaking experience that you will never forget.
