Guides are the Educators of Climbing
Individuals new to the sport or with limited experience will enjoy learning from our professional guides who take the time to cater to you. Our focus is to get you climbing while teaching fundamental climbing skills and movement techniques that are needed for a safe fun day.
Private Ice Climbing
This is our specialty!
Would you like to hire a guide for a day of ice climbing? What to climb a specific route? Climb at a specific venue? If so, this is the best option for you. Climbing with your own guide allows you to design your own day based on your skills, goals and objectives. You get more climbing in, experience many different climbs, and get to keep moving to stay warm on the cold days when the ice is best. This day includes all manner of objectives and many venues where we work. Check out our list of recommended climbs or give us a call. We are happy to chat and look forward to helping you plan your next climbing adventure where ever, when ever.
Steep Ice Climbing – OPEN
This one day clinic covers the skills and techniques for climbing steep ice. You will learn to move more efficiently, find the rests, and position yourself with improved security for screw placements. This will also help you keep your hands warm and avoid the pump which dramatically increases enjoyment. This course is perfect for the climber with goals of climbing the prizes of Lake Willoughby, VT and The Ghost, British Columbia.
This is an OPEN ENROLLMENT course. You will be paired with others in a fun learning environment. There is a minimum of 3 climbers required to run the course. If the minimum is not met, you have the option of upgrading to a private day or we can reschedule you to another weekend day.
Families and Groups
Our ice climbing adventures can accommodate groups up 10 people from the first timer to the experienced and is a great way to introduce families and groups to ice climbing or take a group of experienced friends out in a relaxed and enjoyable setting.
All will have the opportunity to work on their fundamental climbing skills and creative movement techniques while climbing on single pitch ice climbs.MMG provides the guides, gear, and support for an excellent climbing day
