Mooney Mountain Guides LLC is a year round Rock, Ice, and Mountain Climbing school & guide service. Based in New Hampshire and Vermont, MMG’s experienced staff of climbing guides and instructors specialize in private custom rock climbing trips, personal instruction, family climbs, and group team building events. MMG offers guided rock and ice climbs, lessons, mountaineering courses, leadership training, alpine climbs, and Mt. Washington ascents.

For the 2017 summer season, we are offering a variety of rock climbing and alpine rock climbing courses. At Mooney Mountain Guides, our rock climbing and mountain climbs are designed and customized to provide you with the highest quality service. If you are searching for a guided classic rock climb at Rumney Rocks, Crawford Notch, Kinsman Notch, Cathedral Ledge, Cannon Cliff or perhaps even an alpine rock objective in Huntington Ravine or on Mt. Washington our guides can help you raise the bar by teaching you new rock and mountain climbing skills and techniques along the way.

    Perfect for first timers, family’s, and groups. Discover the sport of rock climbing and learn movement and techniques to climb on rock and alpine rock climbs.

  • Reserve "Acadia National Park Rock Climbing
    Join MMG for a three-day rock-climbing course in the breath taking Acadia National Park, ME. July 6-9 ladies only; July 10-13 open enrollment.

  • Reserve "Advanced Rock"
    Rock Climbing - Learn the art of lead rock climbing; in depth instruction on gear placements and anchor construction, to multi-pitch transitions. Learn from the people who employ these techniques as part of their everyday life. Spring, Summer, Fall 2017
    Self Rescue - Hoping you never need to rescue yourself or a partner is one strategy. However, if having a few tricks up your sleeve would make you feel better about climbing higher, join MMG for a Self Rescue course. Spring, Summer, Fall  2017

Red Rocks - Joshua Tree

The Mammut Alpine School and Mooney Mountain Guides are teaming up for the 2017 summer season. We are offering two weekend multi sport and rock climbing adventures. One on Mt Washington and the other at various NH rock climbing venues. Climb with experienced AMGA/IFMGA guide Art Mooney. Join us for this amazing multi day trip on the desert sand stone. Climb the sunny faces on the longest routes in the country with distant views of the city of Las Vegas or Enjoy a few days climbing the beautiful cracks and face climbing technique in the solitude of Joshua Tree National Park. Camping in the park among the climbs makes this an extra special experience.
