1 Day Introductory Rock Lesson

Our single day rock climbing lesson will teach you the skills and techniques to safely participant in the sport of rock climbing. During this lesson you will be taught how to tie knots, belay a lead climber and a top rope climber, lower and rappel skills, and the techniques of movement on the rocks. This single day on the rocks is held at Rumney Rocks, Echo Crag or the North Conway areas of Cathedral and Whitehorse Ledges. All technical equipment is provided.

Intermediate Course

This rock climbing course is for those with previous experience belaying, rappelling, rope handling and movement skills. Your day will start with a review of these previously learned skills and throughout the day you will be introduced to new skills in rock protection, belay anchors, and traditional climbing techniques. The intermediate rock climbing days are customized for you to choose between the traditional rock climbs in Franconia Notch or the sport rock climbs of Rumney NH.

Advanced Guided Days

The advanced guided rock climbs are for experienced rock climbers who would like to improve their climbing ability and endurance. During these guided rock climbs you will climb one of the longer routes or perhaps two routes in a day on Cannon. The Vertigo and Moby Grape combination is an excellent 13 pitch crack climb on clean solid granite rock. If your choice is Rumney then after a good warm up you can pick a few of the test pieces for an ascent in good style.

Family Rock Climbing Lessons

These programs introduce families to rock climbing in a fun and relaxed setting. This day includes learning and practicing fundamental skills such as knot tying, belaying, and creative movements. Our Rumney location is ideal with short approaches, shaded climbs, and friendly atmosphere. Join us with your family for an exciting day on the rocks.

2 Day Introductory Course

Two days of rock climbing at Rumney NH and/or the North Conway areas of Cathedral or Whitehorse Ledge. Our morning hours are full with instruction of systems and techniques. During the afternoon you will have plenty of practice to fine tune these techniques and work on climbing movement. This might be the weekend getaway you are looking for. All technical equipment is provided.

3 Day New Hampshire Sampler

Still can't decide? Let our guides take you on a vertical tour of New Hampshire's rock climbing offerings. Spend three days sampling the various types and styles of rock climbing available in New Hampshire. Spend day one crimping and edging while climbing at New England's premiere sport climbing destination in Rumney, New Hampshire. Follow that day in an alpine setting, following cracks and corners, on the steep exposed face of Cannon Mountain in Franconia Notch. On day three you will find yourself on the granite face of Cathedral or Whitehorse Ledge in North Conway, following cracks to comfortable ledges.

Test your mettle on routes that will have you questioning the objectivity in the grading system. This program can be adapted to meet your needs and schedule.
