Introductory Ice Climbing Course
Our Introductory course in waterfall ice climbing is for those with no previous experience who wish to learn the skills
needed to climb ice and maintain warmth in the cold NH winters. Crampon and ice tool techniques, ice protection, belaying, and
rope handling are the fundamental technical skills introduced. We will also introduce effective clothing systems, footwear, food, drinks, and ice equipment.

Intermediate Ice Climbing Course
This intermediate ice climbing course is for those with some experience and will challenge you in the vertical ice world.
Techniques for use of crampons, ice tools, and protection will be fine tuned to allow efficient movement on moderate ice routes.
You will learn how to place and clean protection, construct anchors and establish v-threads. These are the skills you will need to
master to safely climb and descend multi-pitch ice climbs.

Advanced Guided Ice Climbs
Our advanced guided ice climbs allow you to choose one of the classic routes on Cannon Cliff, Lake Willoughby, or Cathedral
Ledge. You may participate in the route selection, equipment preparation and packing for these advanced ice and mixed climbs.
A 6 am predawn start may be needed to avoid traveling below other climbing parties giving us the maximum chance of success
and safety.

Family and Group Days
This day is for small groups and families who wish to experience ice climbing in a more relaxed setting. A great way to see if ice
climbing is the activity you have have been searching for. These introductory clinics are held at Rumney Rocks or Kinsman Notch
as these areas have great options to set up multiple top ropes in a safe setting allowing your group plenty of time to learn ice
climbing movements.
