Valdez Ice Climbing Trip
February-March 2008

Keystone Canyon located just 10 miles from Valdez, Alaska offers some of the finest multipitch ice routes in the United States. Our 7 day trips are scheduled in February and March. It is during this time that Alaska awakens from the long winter. Warm temperatures, long days, short approaches, and dependable ice conditions make a very enjoyable ice climbing trip.

We recommend this trip for climbers who have experience and solid intermediate climbing skills. Our focus will be to fine tune your ice climbing techniques and increase your skills with protection, anchors, and belay methods. We will safely and efficiently ascend Bridalveil Falls, Keystone Greensteps, and other multipitch waterfalls of Keystone Canyon.

Flights to Seattle depart the east coast in the afternoon with evening connections from Seattle to Alaska. Your first night will be in Anchorage with connections to Valdez the following morning. Your stay in Valdez will be at one of the local hotels. Each day will start with a hearty Alaskan breakfast followed by our climbs in the canyon. In the evenings there are many restaurants for dinner where we can sample Alaskan specialties.

We are scheduling these trips for 7 days during February and March 2008. Please contact us if you have any questions.
