Chic Choc - Gaspe Quebec Ski Trip
March

This trip is for those who want to challenge themselves trip in some of the wildest terrain in eastern Quebec. The Chic Choc Mountains are famous for excellent skiing, incredible scenery, and Canadian wildlife. On this trip we ski tour in the parc on established backcountry ski routes complete with steep ski descents. The deep snowpack, remoteness of the environment make this trip one to remember. While this ski trip is physically challenging you need to be a strong downhill skier to join us. Most of our skiing is on steep chutes and gladed tree terrain and requires advanced downhill techniques.

We run this tour in early March, after the frigid Canadian winter and before the spring thaws really take hold. To participate on this trip you should be in good physical condition, able to move at a moderate pace all day long. You should have strong intermediate to advanced skiing skills. This means you should be comfortable skiing black runs at ski areas in a controlled manner under a variety of conditions. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Chic Choc Ski Itinerary

Day 1: Early departure from central New Hampshire. Our destination is a 12 hour drive north and east along the south shore of the Saint Lawrence River.

Day 2: After a leisure breakfast we will ski tour on the Hogsback. Its a short climb to the summit. We will have time for mutliple ski descents in a wide open bowl.

Day 3 - 4 -5: During these days we will explore and ski new areas in the parc.

Day 6: Depart from the hut mid morning for Quebec City. Tour the city and enjoy dinner

Day 7: Return to central New Hampshire with arrival in early afternoon .

   $1500 (1:1 client to guide ratio)
   $1250 (2:1 client to guide ratio)
   $1000 (3:1 client to guide ratio)
