Canyonlands, Utah
September-October, April-May

The canyonlands of Utah offer some of the most beautiful climbing on earth. In the fall and spring the desert weather is warm and dry. The setting is spectacular with big skies, endless canyons, and sandstone towers. This trip is a great way to extend your rock climbing season.

This trip is geared towards the intermediate climber who has some knowledge of crack climbing. We first travel to Indian Creek Canyon to refine our crack climbing techniques. This canyon is home to many of the world's best crack climbs, and we spend the day climbing the area's immaculate Wingate sandstone.

After honing our skills at Indian Creek we climb the nearby South Six Shooter Tower. This formation is a free standing pinnacle and offers a spectacular yet moderate multi-pitch climb.

Our next objective will be Castleton Tower in Castle Valley, one of the finest rock climbing objectives in North America. The North Chimney Route is a spectacular line on this formation. Sustained climbing and incredible views make this a memorable climbing experience. Our final climb is in the mysterious Fisher Towers. Here we climb a formation called Ancient Art, which is reminiscent of a giant sand castle. Its summit is unforgettable. It's only big enough for one person to stand on at a time!

We arrange this desert adventure on a custom basis in the fall and spring. Dependable weather, great camping, and awesome routes make it a great choice!
